The minimum qualifying investment for permanent residence (Green Card) in the US is USD 1 million. However, if the investment is made in a Targeted Employment Area (High Unemployment or Rural Area), the minimum qualifying investment is USD 500,000.
In addition, the business must create or preserve at least 10 full-time jobs for qualifying US workers within two years (under some circumstances, this might be extended to a reasonable time beyond the two-year period) of the immigrant investor’s admission to the US as a Conditional Permanent Resident.
