This visa is open to those who have received a large investment or substantial funding (of at least AUD $200,000) to establish and develop a new business, and who are committed to the project or activity they are undertaking. A clear and direct business plan is also required for the application process, which will detail how the holder proposes to grow their brand or business, and commercialise their available products or ideas.

To be eligible to receive an Entrepreneur Visa in Australia, 188 applicants must adhere to the following criteria:

  • Be under the age of 55 (this condition can be waived under certain circumstances)
  • Must secure funding from a third-party investor for the purpose of benefiting and supporting entrepreneurial work
