The South Australia State Government announced on 20 March 2018 that a new Entrepreneur Visa will be trialled in the state in 2019.
The main advantage of the new program over the current Entrepreneur Visa will be not requiring the applicants have been engaged with capital investors, where the current program requires a funding agreement of minimum $200,000. The applicants’ proposals will be screened by the relevant State or Federal Government organisations and the potential applicants will be nominated. Ultimately, Entrepreneur Visa holders who successfully establish and run their business venture in Australia will become eligible for permanent residency.
The SA Government has announced that the new Entrepreneur Visa will be executed in 2018-2019.
